Well, since our old house has many hardwood floors, the excessive humidity can beginning to cause disfigure to the actual floors themselves.
Me and my family love going on vacations at all times of the year. This past winter, my family and I happened to go on vacation during a really bad cold front, and then we drove across the country to a nice beach house in a warm area where the temperatures were in the 80’s all week! We were so blissful about the trip that we were going on, that I forgot to turn off the heating system – as well as the humidifier in my house we forgot to turn off before leaving. The heating system will automatically actually shut off after 24 hours of continuous use as a failsafe that we have set up for it all, however the humidifier? Unfortunately, that piece of the unit is entirely old-fashioned, plus won’t just stop running on its very own. Well, since our old house has many hardwood floors, the excessive humidity can beginning to cause disfigure to the actual floors themselves. When we got home from our great month at the beach house, I walked into the old house plus saw the disfigure to the floor. The floors throughout the entire old house creaked as well as warped with each step I took! I was so very angry, I immediately went over to the heating and cooling unit to shut off the humidifier. Then while there, I called my local HVAC service corporation, plus at that point I requested a bid for getting a current and brand new humidifier system for the house.
