Did you ever happen to meet someone who insists on getting everything they want, when they want it? I mean, of course you have. It is hard to make it through life without knowing someone just like this these afternoons. Many people say that it is just the damn millennials that assume this way, but, I suppose people that are actually much older that are of the same frame of mind. As an example, I would completely love to tell you about the new couple that moved in next door. They seemed nice enough at first when they introduced themselves and the two of us felt optimistic about the system of actually having friendly people living right next door. Once they moved in they started making some changes to the old locale which was to be expected, but, I kept hearing the wifey yelling at the contracted workers and I felt bad for them. She didn’t seem thrilled no matter what they did and I sincerely wouldn’t have blamed them if they dropped everything and left. They actually were patient with her and tried to make adjustments to suit her requests as much as possible. The splitting point was when she wanted to upgrade the HVAC system to suddenly include central air. The beach house is nearly one hundred and fifty years old already and there was no way to install this without ripping out the walls to properly install the air duct. The beach house currently only had a boiler and radiators for supplying heat and had no a/c at all. The couple wanted a/c however were unwilling to have the old beach house torn apart to get it. I remember them having several loud fights that year over this. When I couldn’t take it anymore I dropped off the business card and name of our HVAC dealer. I told them that they had several opportunities that certainly would allow them to have zoned a/cs installed without causing much construction mess for them at all. I knew this because the two of us had done the exact same thing a few years ago.
