I like shopping online, because things can be easily shipped and ordered. It’s almost too easy to order online. Last week, I learned an expensive lesson. I decided to buy a small A/C unit for the garage. The garage is usually warm and humid, because there is no way to cool the air. I have been working on a project in the garage. I’m building a new bookshelf from cedar, and it’s my first woodworking project. It’s been very difficult to work in the heat. I decided to buy a small A/C unit to help create some cool air flow. I was looking online for an hour, before I made my purchase. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize I had two A/C units in my cart. I clicked the one button ordering system. It automatically bills the credit card on file and uses my saved information. It literally takes one click to complete my order. The two A/C units were charged to my credit card. I didn’t realize I ordered two A/C units, until they both arrived in the mail. I called the company to explain the mix-up. Since I purchased the A/C units on clearance, they didn’t want to refund my money. I tried to tell them it was a simple error, but they refused to refund my money. I had to speak with a supervisor, before I found someone to help with my plea. The supervisor agreed to refund the purchase price of the A/C unit, if I mailed it back the same day. All in all, the new A/C unit works great.
